Hello

About, oh I'd say several months back I put up a Petition to ban Chris Gwynne. May you can find it and restore it? Not sure. Anyway, here's something similar on TFL

http://www.talkfreelance.com/showthread.php?t=4208

My petition got about 20-30 individual signatures, nearly all of whom lost MONEY to Chris Gwynne's scamming spree, something that amounted to WELL over a thousand dollars.

My story is this:
I paid Chris 100$ to do coding for a forum skin. Chris agreed and THREE months went by with the same old excuses. Oh I don't have enough time, family this, personal life that. Fine! If you have no time to do something you promise to do for MONEY, then you don't offer your services! So I filed a PayPal complaint, and Chris deleted all his CreditCard and Bank info and basically closed his account, all of my money "unrecoverable."

I feel like getting everyone he's scammed together and making another petition, and maybe THIS time you people will keep him banned. Maybe YAXAY tolerates this kind of behavior, but as a user I certainly won't!

To set things straight and let Chris post he needs to make a public explanation and apology, as well as refund 100% everyone who has lost money to him.

I am utterly baffled to search his username and see that he's made posts TODAY. This guy is a complete scam and lowlife, and you admins or mods out there who actually give a damn about the quality of the community need to step forward and try to do something!

I've been harmed by people, if he says what he says is true, the mods / admins seriously need to look at this situation...

community users should be held accountable

You have no idea dude. Chris Gwynne is just as much of a ****head as Corey Wojen from Ravio.

Chris Gwynne is currently online on MSN, receiving my messages and e-mails, and will probably even browse this thread sometime tonight. He'll proably laugh at it too because how utterly clueless many of the community leaders are on here.

I can't believe the ban petition got deleted too. I certainly haven't received a refund or even an apology. He even insulted me on AIM one time saying that I was an idiot for giving 100% up front. What a scamming @#%#$^@%&!!

He's banned on TFL and it will stay that way. You're safe there.

And I am beginning to think TFL is the only community that offers a SANE design/business area.

Yaxay should be ashamed of itself for letting this happen and I would hate to have to leave here because of a lowlife like Chris Gwynne.

I'm as frustrated about this BS now as I was 3-4 months ago when it first happened.

Gotta love how quickly many threads manage to turn into Yaxay bashing threads.

The only reason we are "bashing" yaxay is because they are allowing a person who, stole people's money, to continue to post and do business on their site and marketplace. That is unacceptable. Go wipe your ass with a few hundred dollars then we'll talk about bashing.

Wisch, let me put this plain and simple. Yaxay cannot be your mommy, we cannot hold your hand through every business deal started through us. If you have a problem with a user, yes we like to be made aware of that and yes in an ideal world everything would run smoothly.

However, that's not always the case. But instead of coming here proclaiming to all the world that Chris is a scammer and his unbanning was an outrage - have you actually spoken to Chris recently? What are his reasons for not completing your work? Did you sign a contract with him which legally binds him to a deadline? Why not just cut your losses ($100...) and find another designer? There are so many more reasonable things that you could do than head right over here and bash our system for one bad egg.

Sure, yell at me all you like. I want to hear what you've got to say.
